ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for a passionate person with an eye on motion and a heart on storytelling. If you are an experienced cinematic animator who is looking for an opportunity to lead the Cutscene team, it’s the job for you!

RESPONSIBILITIRS

  • Concepting and development of cutscene with non-interactive story sequences in the game
  • Concept development, creation of character animation and dialogue, including creation of facial animation and synchronisation of character lip movements for dialogue,
  • Working with motion capture data
  • Working with actors on mocap set
  • Collaborate with cinematic artists on layouts, storyboards
  • Close collaboration with Game Director, Cinematic Director, production  and gameplay animation team
  • Collaborate with graphic artists, level designers and gameplay programmers
  • Be able to identify and resolve technical issues and bugs
  • Share their knowledge and mentor the team
  • Work with the tool and engine teams in order to improve the game design workflow
  • Full responsibility for the team and delivering cutscenes in a timely and quality manner
  • Organizing the work of the department along with the Production
  • Working closely with Game Director/Art Director/Cutscene Director/Cutscene Technical
  • Supervisor/Team Leads/Production Lead
  • Risk management, responding to current problems
  • Co-creation of pipeline with Cutscene Technical Supervisor, Cutscene Director and Production
  • Responsibility for the team - feedback, evaluations, pay raises, conflicts, recruiting, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience on Lead Cutscene position (or similar) with responsibilities of mentoring the team
  • At least 2 shipped titles or 5 years experience in post-production
  • Knowledge of motion capture, facial animation
  • Understanding of film language, cinematography basics
  • Demonstrating strong composition feel, action continuity and camera framing choices
  • Good layout and camera animation skills
  • Experience working on AAA games, released for new generation consoles
  • Knowledge of UE4 and UE5 (sequencer)
  • Good knowledge of Motion Builder, Maya or any other 3D animation software
  • Being able to communicate fluently in English
  • Team management skills, good communication skills, ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to develop and implement new pipeline solutions
  • Fluency in cooperation between departments and the ability to navigate within the departmental structures
