ABOUT THIS POSITION

Our team is currently working on a brand new and ambitious project for next-gen consoles and PC, created in Unreal Engine 5.

We are looking for a full-time VFX Artist who will be responsible for the creation and integration of top-quality real-time VFX for our fast-paced third-person action title. The ideal candidate has an understanding of the creation of remarkable in-game visual effects and should exhibit creativity, technical and artistic skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating real-time visual effects, including all the assets needed for them, from prototype to final delivery. 
  • Collaborate with different departments to create the title’s immersive real-time visual effects, in accordance with the project’s creative direction, artistic vision and technical requirements.
  • Contribute to every aspect of the VFX pipeline. Collaborate with TA for R&D, or Tools team about how to improve, integrate, and optimize final in-game effects within Unreal Engine.
  • Take part in additional duties, which may include assisting with content creation, quality control and any other activities necessary to the project’s timely delivery and success.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1 or 2 years experience on the VFX Artist (or Junior) position
  • Excellent people skills, as well as an eagerness for learning and self-improvement.
  • Demonstrable experience with the creation, integration, and optimization of real-time and cinematic visual effects, ideally including a notable contribution as a VFX Artist for video games. 
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and its Niagara VFX system, blueprints, and materials.
  • Ability to work within highly technical constraints, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability for rapid and iterative creation based on peer feedback and directions.
  • Extreme attention to detail and capacity to clearly represent abstract concepts.
  • Knowledge in the software needed for his trade, including source control.

BONUS POINTS

  • Experience in shipping successful AA/AAA titles for consoles and PC, as a VFX Artist role through at least one complete development cycle.
  • Knowledge of a VFX/Simulation solution (ex: Houdini or EmberGen or any other standard).
  • Knowledge of an industry-standard 2D graphic solution (ex: Photoshop).
  • Experience in following production roadmaps with AGILE management tools like Jira.
