ABOUT THIS POSITION

We are looking for a Lead Gameplay Programmer to fit our wild nature and help the team deliver an exciting experience for 3rd Person, AAA Action-Adventure game.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of highly skilled game programmers, scoping and prioritizing their work.
  • Provide mentorship guidance and conduct detailed code reviews.
  • Oversee the development of the gameplay mechanics, AI, and User Interface. Ensure the quality and efficiency of the game code.
  • Be a Go-To Expert and support in the gameplay area.
  • Collaborate closely with other teams, leads, production, and directors across multiple projects in establishing long-term feature roadmaps to help everyone succeed, making trade-offs when appropriate and needed.
  • Supervise the documentation created by the team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews for employees and provide support in HR processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least two released projects from the category at least AA from start to finish with credits as a programmer.
  • 5+ years of experience in game development as a Gameplay Programmer, 
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team of programmers.
  • Experience in a cross-disciplinary development environment, with excellent cross-discipline communication skills. You should be able to communicate and explain trade-offs to non-programmers.
  • Excellent C++ skills and familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Lua, etc.). 
  • Solid architecture, system design, and analytical skills. Strong familiarity with AI, physics, animation, and gameplay systems. Well-versed in software programming principles.
  • Familiarity with an Unreal Engine and game development experience on platforms like PC and consoles.
  • Experience with network game client/server architecture would be an additional plus.
